Morinosuke’s interview for TVE, Spain’s National TV

Spain’s national TV station, TVE’s crew visited Tokyo this month and interviewed Morinosuke. They asked about his experience at Salon Del Manga in Barcelona in 2011. They wanted to know his opinion on the success & shortfalls of Japanese subculture around the world and whether Japanese manga and anime were responsible for the increase in the number of people studying Japanese in Spain and in other countries. They asked how Morinosuke would guide the Japanese government with its soft power strategy. They inquired about his ideas on what Spain could and should do to create a stronger nation brand and what direction the Spanish industry should take. They wanted to know what lessons Spain could learn from Japan and how Morinosuke saw the future for the two countries. ( The video interview will be on Morinosuke’s YouTube channel JapanTechLessons)

As many of you may know, Morinosuke was invited to Spain by the Spanish government in 2011. On that tour he made many presentations and workshops @ the Morinoske Innovation Model. In this fundamental concept, he established the importance of subculture as a seed for innovation, defined its parameters and is proving that it is indeed a value creating, viable solution for both industrial and national strategies.

In Barcelona, Morinosuke was the judge of the cosplay event at Salon del Manga, which is Europe’s oldest manga and anime event, with about 70,000 attendees, in its 17th year in 2011.
At Salon del Manga Morinosuke also made a presentation on Japanese subculture to a packed house of Spanish anime and manga fans:
